Party Wall Press: two row houses sharing one gold wall.

BOOKS FROM THE SHARED WALL

A party wall is the wall two row houses hold in common. It stands on the property line and belongs to both sides; it is the oldest word in Philadelphia’s building code and the reason a South Philadelphia block is one long house with many doors. It is also the wall in Annin Street that a barber’s Puccini comes through at bedtime, the one a girl lays her hand on and feels hum.

Party Wall Press is a small independent press in Cream Ridge, New Jersey, founded in 2026 to publish that book. We took the name because it describes what we think a book is for: one household’s life, carried through a shared wall into another.

We publish stories of the people whose names were on nothing — the ones who kept a street alive without ever being written down — told with the exactness they deserve.

A note for writers: Party Wall Press is a one-author house for now and is not accepting submissions or queries. We’ll say so here if that changes.
